Notes were exchanged with Chinese Government on January 24th
granting British companies the right to operate service from
Akyab or Rangoon to Yunnanfu and thence as soon as circumstances
permit to Hongkong and Shanghai. Chinese company have permission to operate forthwith service from Yunnanfu to Akyab or Rangoon. I will send you copies of text as soon as received.
Imperial Airways will be making a survey flight shortly and arrangements for regular service will depend on the results
of survey in view of improvement necessary to landing ground
regular service cannot be started for some time.
